@matt my favorite is fire-pig. Sure he's just the starter, but if he dies you have food ready to go on the spot! In less morbid reasons, the idea of a pig shooting out flames in non-stop humor.

@matt like i said, to each his own, i think every pokemon deserves his chance and most don't exist for no good reason. although Pachirisu still baffles me, what makes it different enough from ALL THE OTHER ELECTRIC RODENTS to exist, at least Emolga is part flying type

@matt and that is the example that EVERYONE uses. the previous 4 gens all have their odd balls and things that seem like generally bad ideas, but most are too blinded by nostalgia glasses to see it. like voltorb is a snetient pokeball that somehow puts off electricty and when it evolves it just flips over and has a higher tendency to explode
