Just had my first persimmon. It’s pretty neat; like the taste of a very mild pear but the texture of a not ripe peach. I like it. Certainly a branch out of last week’s tangerines

@mcscx I guess in English it comes from an American language meaning dry fruit? I never knew of these fruits before but thought it was Greek for something, not from the word for Persia.

@zucker ich würd in Klausur das M v. Mega | Mebi groß schreiben. Klein-m bedeutet Milli. Zw. Millivolt u. Megavolt ist schon ein Unterschied

I think I am off for a while. The discussions that happened here recently really exhausted me and did not lead to any fruitful output imho.
In the past it was always possible to accept different opinions here on the !fediverse but the communication style seems to have changed to a form that I only know from propriatary social networks.
Meaning just boosting out own opinions instead of real interaction. This is a bit sad and maybe it's just my temporary personal experience and I hope that we will find better and more respectful forms of discussions again.- mcscx repeated this.

@zucker ja, das ist bekannt. Gibt auch Schulen die verwenden Linux, aber Anwendungsprogramme 100% aus der Windowswelt, alles mit Wine.

@einebiene ich habe das damals aber sicher mit einer (etwas weniger besitzergreifenden) Tätigkeit an diesem Computer substituiert.

@einebiene evtl. könnte so ein süchtigmachendes Computerspiel auch als Gegenmittel gegen Rauch-Sucht eingesetzt werden.

@einebiene wohl schon. Das Löschen von Backups hatte ich schon wahr gemacht. Das hat mich dann evtl. überzeugt dass ich es ernst meinte :-)
