              3a + 3b = 21
              3a + b + 2c = 19
              2a + 2b + c = 15
              x = a + 2bc

              • @brainblasted I've also noticed that the gtkmm developers really don't have a problem with extending the API how they like it, like Gtk::Button::set_image_from_icon_name() or an overloaded Gtk::Application::run() that can accept a Gtk::Window as an argument.
All this stuff could've been in GTK+, but it isn't.
Not really an issue because one can simply ignore the extras, but I wonder if any other binding does a similar thing.

                • @brainblasted I guess the main questions are how it handles memory management and signals, as these are the weirdest parts of gtkmm.

It's pretty confusing for an outsider when the oppressed sound just like the oppressor.

@devurandom Probably because it's easier to successfully deliver a message full of drama like "them commies are out to get you and take your job!" than teach something of value.
In the US "the left" can be very dramatic too though.

I've been wondering… how do you compare it to gtkmm as a binding :-)?

It's as if Twitter were to implement a highly modified version of the ActivityPub's C2S protocol. Would'n've made a slightest difference.

@commagray The first four episodes were pretty dull.
Also packed with social commentary, which is painfully obvious because of the overall weak execution including the said commentary.
But the fifth episode (the last one aired to date) was fun though. Pure fantasy, love it.
The influence of the Classic Doctor Who is pretty obvious too, but… the contemporary popular Internet culture references are still there and as strong as ever.
I was hoping they'll be gone with Stephen Moffat, but apparently not. Ugh, mediocre.
I will still tune in for the sixth episode of !drwho :-). Have a Jelly Belly and allons-y!

                                                        • Apparently they're gonna be writing Apu out of The Simpsons starting this season. I know that these days he's sort of a controversial character and a lot of people don't like him, and I'm not really one to complain about PC culture, but Apu's character goes beyond his ethnicity, and I think the people who called for his removal ignored that. With that being said, I’m not going to pretend this is a tragedy. Ultimately, whatever they choose to do with the character on The Simpsons is up to them. Apu's been out of focus for several years now, so I can't say that his absence would be a huge deal, because that would be disingenuous. The Simpsons is also a much different show now than it was thirty years ago. Almost none of the original writers are still on the show, and a few of them are even younger than the show itself. If their vision of the show doesn't include Apu, I can't really fault them.
