@thetwilitebrony In my opinion, a good shipping story is less about writing "and then they kissed" in as many ways as possible, and more about showing the growing relationships up until that point. In a way, It's more about the journey up until that kiss than it us about the kiss itself. Keep that in mind and it can't be that bad.

@thetwilitebrony At the least, main characters need to win. At least most of the time in most cases. They also tend to need some form of drama, or emotional past, or at least more character development, or it'd be awfully boring reading about them. That's already treading in GaryStu-ness, so overdoing things past that is a big no no.
