  1. @topocruz Well if you're worried about needing to provide anything, we can work something out. Or is it the transportation issue?

  2. During my time with this fandom, there have been moments where I've regretted ever knowing about it. Every one of those moments can be traced back to an interaction on ponychan. I've come to despise that site.

  3. !centralflbronies @wollffey No worries, the pavilion I've rented out can seat about 30 and has 3 grills. As soon as I drop the checks and forms in the mail, we're good for September 3rd at the Hillsborough River State Park, Pavilion 3.

  4. @topocruz We plan on carpooling up to the park to save money so I think we can manage that if you can give us an address before the shindig.

  7. @wollffey Sounds good to me. I'd like to reserve the pavilions because they have barbecue grills and I plan to cook up some good char siu pork for everyone. Also, check your PMs.

  8. @wollffey Well I don't think everyone will want to swim but I can still cover the charges if they do. I see there's a pavilion to rent for 50 or 80 bucks but I don't see where the pool is. I can definitely cover pavilion rental if need be.

  9. @wollffey So lemme get this straight: We can picnic by the river and swim in it and it costs nothing or we can use the pool for 4 bucks.

  10. @wollffey I think I can cover that. Is that per person or what?

  11. @wollffey Good to hear about the interview! Unfortunately I couldn't put the facebook link into the forums because they seem to have broken. I now get an error page that says the servers or the IP config has changed. So I'll post it to ponychan if you haven't already and I'll send a link to Seth.

  12. @wollffey Actually I don't use facebook so I can't access it... btw, did either of us submit it to EQD?

  16. @wollffey Sounds good to me. I even thought up a name for the event: The Rain Rain Go Away, Tampa Bay, Labor Day, What The Hay, Pony Party Picnic!

  17. @wollffey Well since I'm not very knowledgeable about the Tampa area itself, I found this: http://www.tampa-attractions.com/tampa-parks-and-recreation.html Which of those do you think would be best for a covered picnic?

Thursday, 04-Aug-11 01:27:06 UTC from web in context
  18. @wollffey Well if we're going the labor-day route, how about a picnic? Though I don't think I could spring for a whole picnic, if we made it a pot-luck or something I could certainly bring some stuff.

Thursday, 04-Aug-11 01:18:53 UTC from web in context
  19. @wollffey Ah, well we can do that. What do you propose as a good time-frame? Also the where is important as well.

  20. @wollffey How bout this weekend then? Time's not a factor for me either, though I prefer the afternoons and evenings.

  25. So, any !centralflbronies in the Tampa area feel like a meet-n-greet or something in the near future? I'll spring for chow if you all bring the good tidings.

  26. @theskyisfalling Gotta love it when parents take an active interest in what you're doing. It always ends up being the aspect you don't want them to see, doesn't it?

  27. So I guess I should mention that I write fanfics. This one in particular is my current project: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/story-papa-pie.html May as well share on here as well.

  29. So I was looking at this article: http://torrentfreak.com/it-was-never-about-the-money-stupid-110724/ and it mentioned how many people, despite not getting any royalty or copyright money, are always creating new content and art and things. It makes me think of this fandom and just about any other fandom. I wonder if there's a way to turn the creativity of this fandom into an argument for radically altering US copyright laws...
