@purplephish20 Also, if you're looking into something for meetups you might consider a private instance so people can post sensitive info without it being readily available to the entire world. (Making an instance private is just an option in the admin panel, so you could easily switch if need be)

@purplephish20 Well if you're not super worried about things being organized easily later StatusNet would work pretty well for that. I have barely any experience with it but from what I've seen it can't be too hard to set up. (Hell, I managed it once, so it must be easy to figure out)
