@zimzap There's not much... nightmare pony, daedric sigil as a cutie mark, capable of shapeshifting into a normal pony, fire mane, tail, wings, etc. due to racial pyromancy. Wears a full plate armor while in nightmare form.

@zimzap @greydragon412 had to look her up. Lauren Faust wasn't involved in making her an Alicorn, she was supposedly just a unicorn when she had her hand in it. Also, detail I left out for space purposes was one of the special reasons luna and Celestia were the only Alicorns - they are direct royalty in Equestria, so Princess Cadence makes sense. What I was saying before is that if peeps are making Alicorn OC's it ruins the point of Alicorns, because all these peeps will run around saying they're royalty too, or I'm-so-and-so's forgotten blood relation, or even making up one's own kingdom to make room for more Alicorns. The idea of wanting to take away such an exclusivity from two (not three until that episode airs!) characters in the show I suppose is an act in which many obviously see the issue plain as day and others won't see the problem at all. Also, Princess Cadence does not invalidate my entire argument since there's still no reason anyone NEEDS an alicorn OC in the FIM-iverse.
