@1greg1 i like mac and pc for their specialities mostly because mac is good for music and musicians and pc is better for gaming and other stuff. here's a fun fact did you know that apple was the first company to have a computer with a mouse and they also were the first to have icons for progams also and pc or the ibm's only had a keyboard and monitor with no mouse and how you accessed programs was typing in commands. i just thought i share this with you .

@1greg1 Nintendo's on.

@1greg1 Had the exact same experience. I built a PC after five years of being a Mac head, and suddenly realized what I'd given up. Macs are great, I say use what you like, but I decided the value proposition sucked.

@1greg1 Nice - should be informative. :D

@1greg1 Depends on who you talk to. LibreOffice is replacing OpenOffice in a lot of Linux distros because LibreOffice is completely open source, GPL v3, a new fork of OpenOffice. OpenOffice has some proprietary code that Oracle won't release, and there have been rumblings about the future of the project too. So it is still alive, but who knows for how long.

@1greg1 I took a java class first semester this past year. Worked with mostly web-based stuff, which is fun to do. Do you know what you'll be working with in this course you're taking?
