Oh. My Figma might arrive today. Maybe? Depends how competant my postman is feeling.

MORE LIKE NPM IMPLODE

I really don't know how they managed to make the install experience for pump.io so much worse than even regular statusnet, but they did. That seems worthy of praise.
-
That feel when you habitually refer to JSON as JASON files.
-
@redenchilada Suuure.
-
@redenchilada YOU LIIIIIIIIKE BEING COVERED IN MUSTAAAAAAAAAAAARD.
-
I feel bad for whichever member of the PRISM program was responsible for observing my consumption of "furry art"
-
@flamingpandaomg I do. It has my furry-code on it. That way everyone can know my species, interests and fetishes in a simple, completely incomprehensible, impossible to remember format!
-
@jackzhang It's my duty as a card carrying furry to be familliar with everything in FA's "Type" dropdown.
-
Instead, let us discuss Skeleton Jelly http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXRRhRlKW3s

@flamingpandaomg The logo is scootaloo gettin eaten. People who are into vore find the act of consuming another sentient being arousing.

My Cloudflare>Varnish>Nginx>Php-FPM>Memcached>Percona stack was able to server 95 requests per second, for a statusnet public timeline, with realtime enabled, on a machine with 1gb of RAM. They're hella efficient.
-
@redenchilada I sent the proposed fix to Widget this weekend and he favourited the link, so presumably he's thinking of implementing it. I'd like to point out that when I turned cloudflare on to buffer @mrdragon's server, it cut bandwidth usage by a full third.
-
@neurario In truth I'm probably going to spin one up anyway just to play with it. I'll send you a link when it's up.
-
@redenchilada I only just figured out how to fix that problem too.
-
@redenchilada Because Cloudflare uses an Nginx reverse proxy for its cache-and-accelerate deal, all requests appear to come from the same limited pool of cloudflare IPs, with the real IPs showing up in a different part of the header. Nginx, which we're running here, by default, does not pass the required info on to statusnet. The practical upshot of that is that every time a new person logged in, all users ended up being logged into that persons account.
-
@redenchilada I do that all the time. Remember the "Cloudflare means everyone logs in as someone else" issue?
-
@redenchilada They let me touch it. I don't see how you could be any worse. Yesterday I managed to delete all my webserver configs by overwriting them with symlinks to themselves.
-
@redenchilada Learn PGSql to replace the backend.
-
@redenchilada I literally taught myself to use nginx for this place.

@rarity and the other half is people complaining about the Xbox One complaints.
-
@rarity Between it and the state of /r/gaming lately Reddit really isn't doing anything to disprove the "Angry 20 something male" image it has
-
@rarity What does that even mean
-
@rarity Last night I saw someone unironically title a thread "First they came for the meme posters, and I said nothing"
-
@redenchilada I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry.

@rarity RED, THE BLOOD OF ANGRY NECKBEARDS.
