Why would a system installed in a vehicles exhaust mechanisms allow them to control it by remote. That doesn't make any sense.

@aloriality I didn't think he was too bad. I prefer Colm Wilkinson now, but Jackman didn't stand out as being awful.

@aloriality You know what stood out to me as especially stupid about the movie? The fact that they had to put in a "neck snap" sound effect at the end of Javert's suicide. Somehow that stood out to me even above Crowe's singing.

@aloriality This is the version I found. Quast is essentially the perfect Javert. I much prefer the way Valjean directly threatens Javert in the musical. I can't imagine why they cut that from the movie.

@aloriality I actually really like "The Confrontation". The counterpoint between him and Valjean sends shivers down my spine.

@aloriality I'll admit I saw the movie first, but I was entranced enough by the music to track down a copy of the musical. (I thought Crowes voice somewhat lacking.)

@aloriality It'd break the "flow" to say "Zero", as it'd be the only two-syllable number in there, and "naught" sounds weird.

@broniebrown Some crazy person who I banned a year or more ago keeps coming back and posting slightly alarming rants, one of which was on the subject of how we're all furries and that we should "get yiffed". The fact that he hashtagged it made it hilarious and became a thing on its own.
