  16. This guy is great: "I did enjoy most of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series, which begins with Wizard's First Rule. If you don't mind the fact that the author is strongly opinionated on the nature of morality and constantly berates you with his views and implies that you are evil if you don't agree, it's not as horrible a series as people let on."

  17. "So, after all is said and done, is The Wise Man’s Fear really as bad as I make it out to be? YES!!! IT IS!!! But at the same time, no. It really isn’t that horrible. If you can ignore that this entire book is completely pointless and full of a non-love story that is really starting to grate, it can be quite entertaining. " I might not agree with what this guy has to say, but the way he says it is at least amusing

  23. At least on RDN people only condescend because they're jackasses, rather than because they've assumed some moral high-ground based on their position re childrens TV programming.

  24. @neurario I might watch it. My girlfriend tells me Monster High is actually pretty OK, so if it's knocking that off, it might also be "Pretty OK". The main reason I'm annoyed by the drama isn't the disharmony or actual despair I'm seeing from people, it's the fact that I'd rather they talk about something that's actually interesting to me, rather than watch them white-knight for the shows creators/unironically proclaim the doom of the entire free world.

  25. Y'know I think I prefer the "nothing" that is happening on RDN to the ongoing Equestria Girls dramafest that is /r/mylittlepony right now. Perhaps if I /liked/ being condescended to by complete strangers on the internet as to why my opinion (any opinion actually) on EQG is wrong I'd fit in beter. How in gods name they've managed to turn liking/disliking a cartoon that nobody has even SEEN yet into a goddamn MORAL ISSUE is a mystery I hope I never find an answer to.

  30. And that's why you keep having the reoccuring nightmare where you go down to the kitchen to get a drink, and as you're filling your glass, look out the window and see a baboon watching you through the glass before being filled with an unaccountable terror.
