http://gplus.to/ClashHaywireI'm into the competitive gaming community that is also supportive, not fragdolls or bro-core. I do some game dev with some friends, too.
I'm into starting some small fashion or crafting enterprises in this city, whether pony-related or otherwise.

@abigpony I'll keep your advice in mind. I don't think I'll be making more OCs. Just this as an avatar for meetups and online activities.
-
@abigpony I was going for a pale yellow, since a saturated one would be hard on the eyes, and a dark yellow, well, that would be brown. And a shade of indigo for a complimentary colour, since my hair is dark, long, and wavy, and blue compliments yellow unless I'm mistaken.
-
@anarchycarcino thanks. I'll google that, and I'll keep it in mind for the future.
-
@abigpony I'm just glad I could pick a name that wasn't disastrous. How bad did names tend to get?

Sorry about having a game controller cutie mark :( It's been bothering me since someone made that post earlier. I could only imagine how many hundreds of those you all must have gone though. And I didn't realize it at the time because I imagine that if all my friends and coworkers were characters in the show, we'd probably all have some sort of gaming related cutie mark, and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. Of course, such a scene would never fit in the show proper, but that's why we're not characters in it. I've never done any MLP fan fiction, or read any for that matter, so I never got the chance to go through all the lazy OC self-insertion gaming-ponies that get involved in a "The Wizard" style gaming tournament in Ponyville and save the day with their amazing video game powers. I shudder at the very thought of such a fic. Yeah, that was random, but I just wanted to apologize for ending up with yet another game controller cutie mark after all this time.

@thelastgherkin I have that problem with coffee, even though I nurse the cup all day long.
-
@mushi I never got around to getting a ps2 until I had finished all my GCN games, and then all the ps2 games were gone from the shelves T_T I should really stop lending them out to anyone who asks T_T T_T
-
@abigpony Ah, I guess. I didn't know the creator left as well.
-
@mushi I just got my copy of that for the 3DS! Well, more specifically, I got my second copy in after I had lent my first copy out, and it was returned worn and damaged in such a way my system couldn't even recognize it as a game card anymore :( But I can finally play it now!
-
however... it does present an opportunity for aspiring animators to get their own magical adventure show up on the air!

@abigpony REALLY? They're ending MLP:FiM in the middle of season 3? Well, I guess that was happens if you cram so much awesome into a show all at once :( you run out all too soon
-
@abigpony I don't mean a big change, the show is already entertaining to adult audiences. I'm just saying that years down the road, maybe when they're ready to end this generation, they might have older renditions of the ponies, and they might be paired up with males, or females, or choose to stay single. Then again, this brings back memories of people talking at the school yard when I was little about how Sesame Street killed off one of their characters because the parent-base thought that they were gay. Still, I'd be surprised if the Mane 6 each had a male romantic partner to marry. Well, I'd also be surprised if they DID go an "Everybody gets married at the end" route as well.
-
@abigpony I like romance stories and all, but in the logic of the world that has been built through the first two seasons, there seems to be a 'gap' between when a pony gets out of school, and when they start looking for romance, and the mane 6 seem to be in that gap. it'd be interesting to see a movie or something later on, in the future, when they're all older and there's a big twelve way romance story that both entertains the adult fans while educating the younger fans that there can be all sorts of romances (or aromances) but I can't see it as something for the show as it is to tackle just yet.

@greydragon412 aha! Thanks for the help

Hmm, I wonder if there's a particular type of spell involved in posting to a group…

@greydragon412 tell us about the dream!

@abigpony I'm pretty skinny. I tend to hover between underweight and dangerously underweight

So I have a story prepared. When my roommates were for the most part a micro-brony community (a micro-bronery?) we had somehow decided that I would be a unicorn pony due to always seeking out magic in life, and proceeded to generate a design similar to this one. My favourite colour is yellow, and a good compliment would be a nice dark indigo for the mane/tail. Because of my immersion in gaming communities, my cutie mark just had to be a game controller, good and old-school. The lightning-bolt accent and the name I had decided on last, when I was informed at the meet yesterday, that we apparently refer to each other by pony-names. I wanted something fun to pronounce that would evoke images of pixellated magical battles. I thought "Clash Critical" would be good, but then "Haywire" popped into mind. You have the "Hay" for ponies, and the term "Haywire" is used when you cast magic in Dragon Quest and it rolls a critical success. http://rainbowdash.net/attachment/120330
