          @seanthesheep Depends on what you mean by "programs you've downloaded." If it's anything .exe that's a Windows executable and you'd need Wine or a virtual machine or somesuch.

              @seanthesheep Alright, then. If my memory serves me, a double-click ought to open up the package manager. Maybe it'll be a right-click & menu option...

                  @seanthesheep I think Ubuntu Software Centre ought to do it. I usually just stick to packages straight from the repositories, so I may be wrong. If I am wrong, anyone feel free to step in and correct me! :p

                    @scribuscooper Rewhatsitories? Also, it says get software, and this is the part where I always get stuck, because whenever I press something, it starts loading and never stops.

                      @seanthesheep Repositories. If you just fire up Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic Package Manager it'll pull the selected packages from the internet.

                                @scribuscooper Something about something with no Package:header and a problem with MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists.gb.archives.gb.ubuntu.com_ubuntu_dists_natty-updates_main_binary-amd64_Packages and it couldn't be parsed or opened

                                      @seanthesheep Just copy/paste the exact error message and see what the entirety of human knowledge has to say about it! Um, but watch out for the slander and whatnot... It is, after all, the internet.
