can anyone cite any statistics on how many mlp fans there are?

@nightwillow I know that there have been a few attempts to gather data, but it's all been flawed because it's been done as anonymous internet-based surveys that only really circulated some corners of the fandom itself.

@scribuskrueger well the wikipedia page says that it is currently at 4 million views/month, so I'll go with that.

@ponydude2143 I remember Basil's stream had over 1,000 viewers for the finale last season.
