@purpletinker I reckon you still have yet to hear back from them? Still, shows promise! :)

@scribus Haven't heard a peep from them, but here's hoping!
-
@purpletinker *fingers crossed!* (or whatever the hooved equivelant would be) :p
-
@purpletinker You know, a talking point that'd definitely be worth bringing up if you manage to get face-time would be those auctions. That pretty much proves there are people who are totally willing to put down some cash on pony.
-
@purpletinker in b4 takedown notice.
-
@administrator I hope not! you are such a pessimist ;)
-
@starshine Or even just the lengths bronies are going to in order to get the semi-decent toys available. People offering to ship out of their countries, etc.
-
@administrator Not to be contrary, but I like to think they're a bit cooler than that. Youtube still has ponies.
-
@administrator LOL! What are they going to do, ask me to take down the results of a survey? I'd like to see them try. :)
-
@purpletinker well, I am paranoid because my domain is a registered trademark. In a worst case scenario, ICE could come and bust down my door and confiscate all my stuff.
-
@purpletinker you would love to see them try asking you ? well thats a bit of a funny thing to say :) But the end result stays the same I guess, they cant MAKE you take down anything :)
-
@administrator Yeah... and if they do, there will be a ginormous public outcry, the likes of which the pony world has never seen :) And I will be out there waving my own pitchfork and torch for ya. :) But my domain name is named for Purple Tinker, and Purple Tinker is (c) me, ORIJINUL KARAKTUR DONUTSTEEL and all that good stuff ;)
-
@critialcloudkicker Yes they can. They have LAWYER POWER. @scribus @purpletinker And also all those "how to make the crappy toys actually resemble the show" guides.
-
@starshine even lawyers cant circumvent the law. which is pretty specific about these sorts of things, but given that I don't know the EULA of the ISP hosting purpletinker.com the "fight" may be over pretty quick. I however see no legal standpoint why it should be taken down. but then again I am no american sharklawyer, the ones Hasbro seems to have a whole building full of.
-
@critialcloudkicker oh, I was speaking more toward rainbowdash.net.
-
@starshine yeap... if hasbro goes "waaargh !" ( like the orks in W40K ) agaisnt rainbowdash.net it falls like a house made out of cards in a wind turbine
-
@starshine That's an excellent point, and one that we will for sure bring up. $2000 for a picture of a pony is nothing to sneeze at.
