@moonprincess @ponydude2143 I've given up trying, all cabal tells me is to talk to tinker and tinker never responds to e-mails, go I gave up and just make it up as I go along.

@zach I think that it's improving. :) It's going to take time and continued effort, and some will always just keep trolling you about it because, well, that's their sad idea of fun. But it's getting there. Just keep working at it. :)

@ponydude2143 Yes thank goodness it doesn't happen often. The worst part is when ppl add fav and repeat plz to thier notice and ppl actually do it. So I see it over there on the popular posts mocking me with its pity favs saying hey "lose faith in everything, ppl are annoying"

@ponydude2143 I feel ppl should favorite their favorite posts, not just to force something onto the top notices. Its ok to ask for a repeat though. If you are trying to alert someone of something get them to join a group for it and use the group tag when ever something new happens

@abigpony MrDragon has tried to raise issues with all of the admins now, to either get broken stuff fixed, or to get rules formalised, or even get moderator guidance. So has Colfax. Neither of them has managed to get a straight answer from ANY of the admin staff. As far as I am concerned, Tinker's my favourite because she annoys me the least. Cabal is yours. Fact is, none of them seem to have either the people skills or the inclination to run the user facing aspects of this site.

@abigpony I think they need a "People Admin". MrDragon seems like the obvious choice. He already runs the forums, has admin experience, has proven himself to be trustworthy with power in his time as a mod, and actually knows enough to fix the site. Aside from this week where he's been moving house, he's also super high availability. That would ease all the problems all at once.

@redenchilada Y'know what I think? Moderators gotta mod. Just start unapologetically enforcing the "rules" the way Colfax does. If you all back eachother up and enforce the rules clearly and consistently you don't actually need the soi-distant admin teams help.

@ceruleanspark I think the biggest issue is that the "rules" aren't clearly defined. (In fact, one of the reasons I tried getting the mods together over IRC was to get a cold, hard list of rules to enforce.)

@ceruleanspark In my honest opinion, the mod team needs a bit of a pruning. Not to say the active mods are doing a bad job; there are just too many who don't do anything.

@ceruleanspark Not as much as I feel I probably should, honestly. I'm much more advosirly, partially because of complex life issues and partially because I want more of a "sandbox" freedom to it.

@remembernovember FWIW, I didn't implement the 'no cursing' thing. It's a rule I inherited when I took over from Cabal. And it's a rule I intend to lift, once an appropriate censor plugin for those who WISH to see things censored is in place.

@colfax Yes, the email issue I DO take responsibility for. Running BroNYCon keeps me very busy, but I will look into it. Do me a favour and re-forward me the email about this problem so that it will be at the top of my mailbox, staring at me, until I fix the problem.

@colfax I never set out to be an enforcer of rules. I left that task to @elind85. I'm a techie. I tinker with the system when things are broken, and I pay the bills. I run upgrades and backups. I'm not an enforcer; I don't want to be. If @elind85 doesn't feel up to her task, I can assign somepony else. For now, looks like I will be assigning MrDragon as an all-around admin, so that he can hopefully make you guys happy. I'm also editing the rules document you guys suggested and posting it on the site, linked to from the FOOTER.

@purpletinker Just for the record, even if a rule is lifted, if I get complaints about what folks are doing I will do something about it, if there's a rule against it or not.
