    1. @thelastbunny Invariably. I never have any good experiences with curtains.

      1. @ceruleanspark As you're reaching for your curtains... you did it yoooooooooour way

      2. @ceruleanspark I've taken everything down. I now have even less fixed curtains than before. But I think I know where the problem is! Just not how to fix it.

        1. @thelastbunny Maybe I can help with that. If you know where the problem is, send me a pic, and probably I can tell you how to fix it.

          1. @nerthos The problem is that two of the runners on one end have become misaligned. I'm trying to use pliers to get them out of the rail, but it's proving more difficult than expected. If I can do that, it's all a case of getting the string back onto the runners and the runners back on the rail.

            1. @thelastbunny Can't you just blend the tip of the rail to get them out?

              1. @nerthos ...BEG PARDON?!

                1. @pawnheart Forgive me if my ignorance offends you.

                  1. @nerthos Oh... you were talking about... curtains... ah... (cough)

              2. @nerthos It's not that simple, I'm afraid. It's a fancy rail, so the runner mechanism has to come out vertically. The problem I'm having is that the misalignment is making it too thick to fit through the slat.

                1. @thelastbunny If you push it with two screwdrivers? one in each wheel, to rotate it into position.

Monday, 14-Nov-11 12:09:31 UTC from web
                  1. @nerthos That's what I've been trying to do with the pliers, but I still need to get the mechanism out before I can thread the strings back through it.

                    2. @thelastbunny Then back to the basics, mercilessly blend it. Maybe you can put the thread in place with a thin pair of pliers. The medicine ones, pointy and slim.

                      1. @nerthos No but see, I can't get the end of the thread without disassembling the whole thing completely. I just have a loop in the middle.

                        1. @thelastbunny A loop of thread? Is this programming or sewing?

                        2. @thelastbunny I hate those things. Just blend it. Then you can always weld it together again. I would love to be there, i could fix the problem with relative ease.
