In other news, I'm off to Oxford tomorrow for a Classics trip. If I get any free time to myself, I may just head for a toy shop and find some ponies. I'm tired of paying £9 per pony at Hamleys!

@redback Good grief, that's extortion. Try checking out your local Smyths or Toys 'R' Us.

@thelastgherkin Ah, the curse of living in Central London. tere are somehow no toys r us stores in central london. I think my nearest one is in Bromley or something, somewhere on the outskirts.

@redback Bummer. But still, last time I went to London I thought Hanley's was absolutely magnificent.

@thelastgherkin It is, it's got a fantastic range of all kinds of toys. As far as I know, it's the only west-end store that actually sells the brushables (John Lewis/Peter Jones/etc only sell the fashion-ponies, playsets and Pinklestias). Also the demonstrations are always cool But it is ridiculously expensive. Their lego sets are almost twice the RRP!

@rotation I know. problem is, the Tescos near me are too small to have toy departments. They're all on the outskirts of London.
