@decibel I miss old RDN in general...
-
@mrdragon Indeed.
-
@mrdragon Most of the people I remember from there are still on today, except sweetie.
-
@mrdragon But old RDN didn't have the !RDNdrinkinggame !
-
@decibel I know that feel brony. :(
-
@scribus u.....
-
@decibel I meant it's style, once a classy place of pony talk, like a find Scotch. Now it's more of Drama/shipping and ponies when a episode is out. I mean it's still RDN but.. for those of us that have been here a few months, I'm sure we all get what I mean.
-
@scribus This was what I woke up to have in my replies about my flirting and Sexy Spitfire x.x I can only see this ending badly.
-
@mrdragon It will get better. I've seen it happen a million times. A site has it's "Good old days", then it becomes popular, and when everyone realizes that the huge influx of new people is making it less good, they leave. When the majority of people stop using the site, it goes into the "Good old days" phase. After that, it usually stays there until it putters out.
-
@mrdragon Yeah... Womder what killed it.
-
@mrdragon Hmm, that's a wierd way to spell awesomely
-
@derpsissadbecauseprincesstwilightdoesnotwanttomarryhim The influx of people during the summer. So many joined with their new free time, and realize they enjoy it here, so they stay on.
-
@derpsissadbecauseprincesstwilightdoesnotwanttomarryhim I will admit I was one of those that had the hand in starting it all off, now that things are starting to gain a 'foothold' (drama's thrown out, RP is demolished other then basic ** actions) @thatonepony 's remark is starting to come true. Old RDN should be here by christmas I say.
-
@mrdragon Fine scotch on a freezing week. Best course of action ever.
-
@mrdragon I think the thing is when RDN started there was some pony-talk stored up amongst the users. Now, we've all pretty much caught up. I like the chat aspect, and the meets that have been organized here. I admit, I also miss some of the pony talk, but I don't dislike the way things are at all.
-
@thatonepony @mrdragon but how do they find this site?
-
@derpsissadbecauseprincesstwilightdoesnotwanttomarryhim It's openly endorsed on EQdaily, and I've seen it mentioned a couple of other places.
-
@thatonepony :f
-
@decibel I think he means "bad" in the 1970s-ish sense.
-
@scribus I think some of the problem is there's only so much pony talk that can happen before it becomes less of a bountiful conversation topic and people are driven to find other ways to amuse themselves. After a while, it recharges its batteries and people can do pony talk again, it's just you need to give it some time. #BarelyKnowWhatImTalkingAbout
-
@scribus I don't dislike them, hell I'm one of the contributes to it. But we all have that day were we like to relax. And of late... my weeks been pretty much crappy, so I've been thinking back a lot to the likes of the old days when it was just RDN and me... things were so simple, but now it's nearly December. I'm a admin of RDN now, I run the forums with another user, I speak to so many ponies it's un real. And I have a pony I love dearly to take care of, things are not as simple as they once were. So, I like to sometimes sit back and think on those days.
-
@derpsissadbecauseprincesstwilightdoesnotwanttomarryhim Simple, EQD it;s on the page. And ponychan.
-
@scribus It should, I wouldn't getting associated with sexy spitfire.
-
@decibel I could not agree more with this statement.. All I need is the snow and the cold over here.
-
@mrdragon Thats pretty much all I get in new England.
-
@seanthebluesheep Ah, it's like the "dysphemism treadmill," where a bad word becomes so overused that it's no longer shocking, and another term takes its place, eventually cycling back to the original shocking meaning of the first word. Only, with ponies.
-
@decibel I'll come live with you then, sh** I'd love some snow... just to see it's beauty again..
-
@decibel Word.
-
@mrdragon no snow? Where do you live then?
-
@mrdragon Speaking of snow, it is snowing outside right now for me.
-
@decibel I live in the UK, and my part has not had snow yet.. Even though for the past month we were predicted it.
-
@thatonepony For a place like the UK, snow is usually abundant.
-
@mrdragon I've only been once about four years ago. It was October, and everyone was complaining how hot 80 Fahrenheit was.
-
@mrdragon But the UK is lined up with Maine and canada right? How the hell have you not gotten snow!?you should be trying to dig your way out of your house
-
@thatonepony We complain about anything and everything, as is the British way.
-
@mrdragon I had black pudding without realizing what it was. I thought it was pudding, like the chocolate kind.
-
@mrdragon I thought that was the french?
-
@decibel No, they moan and stop. We moan and get on with it.
-
@decibel The French also like to complain about everything, Because I am in French in Highschool with a French pen pal, and she tells me that her classmates complain about their weather.
-
@thatonepony Never had it, never will. One food I steer clear off, as well as Haggis.
-
@mrdragon I guess there close enough geographically to have some similarities in complaining
-
@mrdragon They didn't seem pleased when I threw up on their parking lot.
-
@thatonepony EeeeeeYup
-
@mrdragon Yeah, I don't remember much except getting sick and driving through that one animal preserve, the crown Jules, and all of the hats I bought in downtown London.
-
@thatonepony Ergh... London, blasted southern UK.. Far to noisy for my liking, and not enough fine taste of Scotch
-
@scribus Yeah, sort of, but more like a lifecycle.
-
@mrdragon Fine scotch is one thing that everyone ought to appreciate, no mater who they are.
-
@seanthebluesheep That's probably a much better comparison, yeah.
-
@thatonepony Haha I know I do
-
@thatonepony I give a exclusion to Russia, as they live with Vodka in their veins
-
@mrdragon No excuses. I know several scotch loving Russians.
-
@scribus The treadmill thing is too negative.
-
@thatonepony Russians drink everything alcoholic... Even peach belini, to bad the bubbles sometimes give them headaches (10 points to whom ever got that reference)
-
@seanthebluesheep It is, isn't it? I was just trying to do one of those Wayne's World things where someone says something inappropriately in-depth and a little awkward for normal conversation. lol
-
@scribus I think that only works if the thing nails the conversation concept exactly.
-
@seanthebluesheep Oh, well. Guess I need more practice.
-
@scribus I know nothing.
