            1. @andranator2 Ugh. May I offer some advice, as frequent fellow sufferer?

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:33:48 UTC from web
              1. @patch Sure.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:34:14 UTC from web
                1. @andranator2 I'm sure it's nothing you've not heard before. Keep it covered, obviously, with a soft bandage. If you must remove it, do so with a sterilized needle (a normal sewing needle, heated---then allowed to cool! Will do). But some sterile thread (you can take some from first aid gauze) through the needle. Draw it though, then snip off the thread, leaving it protruding from both sides. This will wick away moisture without exposing the damaged tissue beneath. Done it a zillion times to blisters from hiking and marching.

                  1. @patch Real men burst them, then put spray-on-skin over them to kill all the nerve endings.

                    1. @ceruleanspark Warning: This is one of the single most painful things it is possible to do to yourself on purpose.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:39:12 UTC from web
                      1. @ceruleanspark The sensation of a nerve ending quite literally burning away is one of the most crystaline perfect pains you can imagine. It is like the essence of pure agony.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:40:17 UTC from web
                        1. @ceruleanspark You could also bust it with a GUN that is also ON FIRE.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:40:59 UTC from web
                        2. @ceruleanspark Man, I got to try that now just to say I've felt it.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:42:58 UTC from web
                          1. @patch I've been hurt a lot by various things (Including a fight with the european kickboxing champion), but nothing is quite so impossible to prepare for

                            1. @ceruleanspark How about having a doctor purposefully chemically burn you to kill and infection. Keep in mind that it was a constant burn for about an hour.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:46:41 UTC from web
                              1. @andranator2 That seems like it's basically the same pain, though in this case, over a wider area, and for longer.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:47:39 UTC from web
                                1. @ceruleanspark It was very unpleasant and I haven't been to a doctor since.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:48:41 UTC from web
                                  1. @andranator2 I can imagine. I don't go to doctors all that often as a general rule. Though at least I don't pay for the privelege.

Monday, 05-Dec-11 14:49:22 UTC from web
                                    1. @ceruleanspark I stopped bothering with them after I outlived my third one by doing everything they told me not to.

                                    2. @ceruleanspark I don't pay to go to the doctors either. Im Canadian.

                    2. @ceruleanspark Ha ha! Or, for extra manliness, use duct tape instead of sprayskin!

                      1. @patch Spray Skin heats up on contact with moisture (It is essentially antiseptic laced superglue). Three guesses as to why they specifically tell you not to spray it into wounds that weep?

                  2. @patch That would have been great advice to hear yesterday before I cut it open with scissors and worked outside chopping up a fallen tree and some shrubs without gloves on. Now my finger is so stiff I can't fully bend it.

                    1. @andranator2 I was toooo laaaate! But hey, maybe try it in the future. In the meantime, try to keep it covered with something soft and leave it alone. Maybe get some booze later today, if you're of legal drinking age.
