Derpy Hooves shirts are supposedly being pulled from We Love Fine due to people being offended by them. I wish I was kidding when I said this.

@leonkfox If http://www.tshirthell.com/ can stay in business with their stuff then welovefine can suck it up tell the asshats to go pound rocksalt down a gopher hole.
-
@colfax Is it bad that I went to that site and automatically zoned in on the one shirt with a giraffe on it?
-
@thelastgherkin No, just weird, but I'd expect no less from you.
-
@colfax I booted up that website downstairs in the dining room...nearly created a very awkward moment. But still, I agree whole heartedly.
-
@colfax I'm OK with this.
-
@leonkfox I'm still seeing Derpy designs all over there.
-
@astra It's all over my Twitter timeline right now, about Hasbro pressuring them to remove their Derpy T-shirts so people don't get offended, if they don't actually get removed then...well, awesome, no sense in looking a gift horse in the mouth.
-
@leonkfox Hm. Nothing on EqD yet. Is this actually coming from folks at WeLoveFine?
-
@astra I honestly don't know, but it's all over my Twitter timeline nonetheless, so SOMETHING credible must have set it off or else it would have been dispelled already, wouldn't it?
-
@leonkfox Not necessarily. Granted, it could be true, but I wouldn't assume that it is until someone credible came out and said so. After all, Hasbro and WeLoveFine have better things to do than scour the internet and respond to every crazy rumour. If this reaches critical mass, expect a response, one way or another, eventually. Until then, take what you hear with a salt lick. After all, everyone may be talking about it like it's true, but Twitter and Facebook are littered with similarly everyone-is-talking-about-it-do-it-must-be-true threads that have been nothing more than proof of mass gullibility.
-
@astra @leonfox Just look at that HP pony laptop thing that bit EQD on the flank the other day, it's the internet, assume everyone lies.
-
@colfax House theory applied to the internet.
-
@colfax I can't believe Tek fell for that.
-
@thelastgherkin Because Tek wanted it to be true, it's happened to all of us at one time or another.
-
@nerthos Yeah, well, I had the theory before House was a thing, so he can just go suck down his vicodin and molest Cuddy.
-
@colfax Hehe, no problem. Also, he made Cuddy run from the hospital after crashing his car into her house. He had a good reason, a brush to deliver.
-
@astra Oh, of course, you raise a very good point there. I'm just going to hold it out while my timeline explodes and hope to Celestia nothing comes of it.
-
@colfax I honestly didn't know about that until you mentioned, but it does sound like a good default mindset.
-
@leonkfox Yes, I just was reading the vague article that showed up on EqD while I was in my meeting, and watching the drama detonate over "an anonymous but reliable source" on another website. I do agree that holding out and waiting things to settle -- and for actual facts to come in -- is the best plan of action. There are already more than enough people screaming, having panic attacks, and basically turning the fandom into its own worst enemy. (On the bright side, WeLoveFine should see a heck of a sales spike today.)
-
@thelastgherkin Eh. I do it all the time with balloonstuffs. Doubt it's much of a problem.
