Well, I already suspected it, but I seem to be proving to myself that there is no real way to dig out a "proper" chronology of the episodes. Not that I'm going to stop trying.

@scribus Somepony needs to ask Lauren on her DA what the proper order is. :)
-
@princessluna I thought her official answer was already given as "there is none," but maybe I'm making that up... I've got nothing to back me.

@scribus @princessluna Yeah, she intended the first season to have like a continuous storyline but Hasbro nixed it.
-
@thewolverine I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it. Now I can quit crawling her dA looking for proof. #whew

@scribus I'm trying too! So far I've got "Friendship is Magic, episode 1" first.

@thelastgherkin Yeah, I even managed to place in in the Spring, since they're coming up on the Summer Solstice. :p That IS the order the seasons go in, right? #derp

@scribus Remember that seasons don't correspond to a calendar, and night and day don't correspond to time. Considering Celestia rises the sun and moon and the ponies themselves bring in Autumn and usher out Winter, there's no way for sure that one year in Equestria is the same length as another. All this and more can be found in my upcoming over-analysis of the first episode!

@thelastgherkin I would think that Celestia / Luna would adhere to very strict schedules. Failing to do so would undermine the purpose of caelndars and watches in pony society.
-
@princessluna That's true, but even on Earth night and day are never the same length. That's why we have leap years!

@thelastgherkin Ah, drat... Well, I was kind of figuring they tried to stick to a schedule; Mayor Mare did say that they were late last Winter Wrap-Up, so that would indicate a schedule for the seasons, at the least.

@scribus Ah! Also true! It's also notable that Equestrian ponies age twice as slowly as Earth ponies, though I like to tidy that up by making the Equestrian year half as long as an Earth year. :D
