  1. So anyway I gotta learn how to surf.

    1. @scribus Surfing proved to be difficult for me. It is not my special talent.

      1. @axelgunn Oh, I can't even skateboard, man. But it just looks so fun, and even if I fail I'm still in the ocean, which I dig.

        1. @scribus I can skateboard, I still do from time to time, but I just couldn't grasp surfing. I wish you the best of luck should you ever try though.

          1. @axelgunn Thanks. :) I reckon sometime, maybe this summer, I'll find a joint to take lessons.

            1. @scribus Ah. That might've been my problem. I was with a friend of my mother's and he was trying to teach me. I'm fairly certain he was high for most of the time.

              1. @axelgunn Well, you know, surfers... <.<

                1. @scribus Ah, I get it. Very humorous. I don't know if I'd call him a full on "surfer" though. I did watch him surf a little.

                  1. @axelgunn Closest I've ever come is jumping from the diving board onto a boogie board in my parents' pool - WHICH WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA AND I COULD HAVE DIED!

                    1. @scribus I myself did that many times in my youth. Back in Anaheim and Orange County. Once I hit my head on the side of the pool. Very painful.

                      1. @axelgunn Eeyup, that almost happened to me. Just back-plapping into the water was bad enough. XD I thought the board would kinda go under then fly forward and out from under me, but it just shot forward. I decided I probably shouldn't do things that drive me to announce, "I'm Johnny Knoxville!" beforehand.

                        1. @scribus I once got stuck under an air mattress that some people use for sunbathing and started to panic. Scared me for a very long time.

                          1. @axelgunn How do you even get stuck under an air mattress?

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:44:57 UTC from web
                            1. @nerthos It wasn't a true air mattress. One of the ones for a pool.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:45:37 UTC from web
                              1. @axelgunn I stand by my question.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:47:52 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos I was swimming underwater, and when I tried to come up for air I was underneath it. Someone was on it so I was kind of stuck underwater and panicked

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:49:22 UTC from web
                                  1. @axelgunn Weird. I would probably pull a knife and try to cut through it in that situation xD

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:50:14 UTC from web
                                    1. @nerthos I was six years old at the time so I sadly did not have a knife with me.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:51:13 UTC from web
                                      1. @axelgunn Oh, that explains it all. I'm surprised you didn't ask why I carry knifes underwater.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:53:51 UTC from web
                                        1. @nerthos I prefer to leave personal matters to their own person. Whether you plan on assassinating sea turtles or just need some extra defense from a manly sea star, it is no business of mine.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:54:55 UTC from web
                                          1. @axelgunn Lol. i wonder how a manly sea star looks like. I just carry knifes everywhere I cannot carry a sword, except embassys.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:56:31 UTC from web
                                            1. @nerthos Ah I see. I suppose that is commendable of you.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:57:43 UTC from web
                                              1. @axelgunn It's just useful.

                                                1. @nerthos Sounds like it.

                                                  1. @axelgunn Anyway, what you're up to?

                                                    1. @nerthos I'm not currently up to much. Just sitting here on RDN.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:03:38 UTC from web
                                                      1. @axelgunn Understandable, it's a lovely and calm night.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:04:52 UTC from web
                                                        1. @nerthos It is softly raining here. Makes a soothing sound upon the roof.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:05:39 UTC from web
                                                          1. @axelgunn Oh, rain nights are indeed lovely. I find them particularly relaxing.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:06:33 UTC from web
                                                            1. @nerthos As do I. I also like stormy nights, although they aren't exactly relaxing.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:07:47 UTC from web
                                                              1. @axelgunn A while ago there was a particularly strong storm here, with lightning constantly on the sky. I would do everything to be back there, but in good health, since due to being sick at the moment I couldn't step into the rain to see the magnificent display of bolts dancing in the night.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:14:35 UTC from web
                                            2. @nerthos Why don't you carry a sword and a knife since a sword is rather unpractical in some situations...

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:58:23 UTC from web
                                              1. @hakupony Oh, of course I carry an utility knife even with the sword. I can't cut food or open packages with a sword.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:00:21 UTC from web
                                                1. @nerthos And you can't effectively fight with a sword if you are in a small room - at least if we are talking about longswords here.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:03:01 UTC from web
                                                  1. @hakupony Yeah, though I'm almost never in really small rooms.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 08:04:12 UTC from web
                          2. @axelgunn I'd imagine.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:46:54 UTC from web
                            1. @scribus On a slighty different water based topic, I also enjoy wakeboarding.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:48:30 UTC from web
                              1. @axelgunn . . . I think I'm thinking of skimboarding... At any rate, I'm picturing a much smaller, wooden (probably) board, and a very thin layer of water over the sand just as the tide starts to leave.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:52:55 UTC from web
                                1. @scribus Wakeboarding is comparative to waterskiing.

Sunday, 15-Apr-12 07:54:05 UTC from web
                                  1. @axelgunn Oh, okay, gotcha. I knew I was wrong. :p

                                    1. @scribus And so even more # takes place on this night.

    3. @scribus How to surf the internet? :)

      1. @redenchilada My buddy said just about the same thing when I texted him that. And, no, I'm already pretty good at surfing the 'tubes.
