I think I'm gonna grow a beard over the summer. It's the only time I can really get away with it since my university requires I have no beard.

@alargesmallhorse @scribus @renovatedkitchen @macpony55 BYU is rated the #1 Sone-cold sober according to an Oxford survey.. We're even above an Amish school. No alcholo or tobacco on campus, must shave, strict dress code. Filtered internet. Life couldn't be better!

@pony I respect no establishment that requires 2D animators to take 3D courses. Does that school do such?

@alargesmallhorse hmm.. well I know that 3D animators are required to learn the basics of 2D, but since I never was admitted to the animation program, I can't say for sure. I could check on that though.. BYU has won student emmys for their animation for the last 10 years if I'm not mistaken. Our forte is effects. John Lassetr (sp>) has called our school the best in the nation.

@alargesmallhorse lessee here.. the BYU college for animation actually does not require the intro to 3D animation class of all its students.. so I guess it's alright

@alargesmallhorse haha! I really don't mind the strict honor code or religious requirements, but there's one class that really rustles my jimmies. I've decided to take its equivalent at a neighboring university and transfer it. I hate BYU's CS 236 Discreet Structures class.

@alargesmallhorse @scribus @renovatedkitchen @macpony55 BYU requires a yearly ecclesiastical endorsement from a local leader at whichever religious organization you attend (you must attend one or at the very least if you're irreligious you must speak to your local LDS Bishop) It /is/ possible to have a beard without breaking the honor code if you get a doctor's note lol*

@renovatedkitchen yeah lol* skin conditions and whatnot I guess allow for beards. Also, if your religion, work (eg. you're acting in a play and need to grow one) requires it you're allowed

@scribus It is pretty hard to find. The ladies of all the hair products stores I went to didn't even knew what it was. One tought I was asking for depilating wax. I had to settle with hair wax.
