does this count as an error @ceruleanspark? i'm not sure. it lasted, like, a minute. http://ur1.ca/95gbi

@alargesmallhorse @ceruleanspark I got the same error.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 06:46:05 UTC from web-
@pony good, then it wasn't just me
Wednesday, 02-May-12 06:48:00 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse nnope! You're not alone. I actually haven't bothered reading it since, based on the Youtube video, I decided it wasn't worth my time and emotional trauma.

@pony wut?
Wednesday, 02-May-12 06:54:49 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse oh! lol* sorry. I totally missed the context until just now. Thought you were agreeing with me about Cupcakes.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 06:58:04 UTC from web-
@pony Cupcakes was an amusing fic. it's honestly not written that well, but good to take in for what it is. I have no idea why people get so up in arms about it.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 06:59:01 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse Because they hurt RD! And the show has proven that a pony lacks the strenght to even harm her. She crashed into trees and rocks at more than 150km/h, with only bruises. To be able to cut her, a pony should be strong enough to lift a truck.

@alargesmallhorse Mic the Microphone's reading of the story managed to bring it up to a level of quality and horror that honestly absolutely sickened me.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:05:31 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel His reading sucked. it's better if you don't listen to a reading.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:06:42 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse His reading traumatized me. Rainbow Dash Presents cured me. This happened again with Rainbow Factory.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:08:42 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel Rainbow Factory wasn't even that strong in what it presented.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:14:04 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse Yes it was. It was very strong and very painful.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:15:18 UTC from web-

@alargesmallhorse The premise alone makes me feel sad and scared which is why I've avoided it except to understand what it is. I don't have any problem with others liking it, of course, but, for me, it's *blyech!*
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:05:48 UTC from web-
@pony It's just a fic.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:06:05 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse It's just a fic as wuch as MLP is just a show. I mean, for some it leaves quite an impression you know? And I've only ever seen the Youtube video which I've been told humorous in comparison.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:08:42 UTC from web-
@pony Well it's a fic based off a show. We already have the canon characters presented to us and thinking outside of that is just creativity gone loose. We know it's not real, you're just one of the people who takes it too seriously.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:15:10 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse xP Nah. I wouldn't say "too seriously." We're just different I suppose.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:19:04 UTC from web-
@pony I say buff up your interpretation of fanfics.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:20:14 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse You know, there are people who use their imagination when they read fiction...
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:23:43 UTC from web-
@hakupony They can't get angry about the fic because they are making it as they see it. it's just a fic and meant to be taken as no more than fictional shenanigans, especially grimdark. i just don't see how people get wacko over the stuff.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:29:44 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse I always thought that part of the goal for grimdark artists and authors was to shock ponies and provoke the wacko-ness so-to-speak. Of course I know there are many who relish the shock or the taboo or are just fascinated by death/gore.. I used to be into guro and vore. I know it's appeal better than you might expect. I've just chosen not to persist in pursuing it any longer, and frankly I'm happier this way. I hold nothing against those who like it.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:34:48 UTC from web-
@pony Well, like, i view it as no more than a genre. It's not a matter of "enjoying violence/gore/guro/vore/whatever as much as taking it in stride. I know at least the author of Cupcakes' goal was just to write something as ridiculous as possible because there were no grimdarks out at the time of it's release. honestly, noone liked it when it came out.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:38:51 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse I'll take your word for it as far as the author's goals in writing Cupcakes. As a reader I do get the idea of taking certain things in stride including gore, etc., but ignoring them completely is not something I think is really feasible unless I tone down or completely turn off my emotional reactions. When I do that, though, I not only avoid feeling disturbed, I also, close myself to enjoying it. The only way to really enjoy grimdark-like stuff, in my own personal experience, has been to embrace the gore or the shock. For some, including myself, ponies are an upbeat, happy, and refreshing break from that sort of thing. I'm probably not explaining myself well.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:50:03 UTC from web-
@pony nah, i get ya. I was pushing this too hard on you and get where you're coming from. My apologies.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:51:28 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse I enjoy a lively debate from time to time. :)
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:53:00 UTC from web-
@pony Well i was pushing to change your views on the matter, which was where I went wrong. i probably shouldn't be doing that.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:54:03 UTC from web-
@alargesmallhorse @toksyuryel i've found that sometimes the quickest way to come to an agreement is to concede that my explanations are flawed. ;) Nopony is perfect. *shrug*
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:56:43 UTC from web-
@pony We are both wrong... but we are both right
Wednesday, 02-May-12 08:00:55 UTC from web-

@alargesmallhorse The way I see it is, grimdark offers relatively little or nothing uplifting to me, so I choose not to spend my time reading it. I'm selective about other things too, not just fanfiction.

@pony Whatever.

@pony Glad to hear I'm not the only one who gets trautaized by pony abuse that easily...
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:01:24 UTC from web-
@hakupony yep! I cherish my sensitivity and would rather not sear it into non-existence. lol*
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:09:42 UTC from web-
@pony Normally, I'm rather unsensitive and cynical, but if it is about ponies, I am completely different :)
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:11:22 UTC from web -
@pony I like mine too. It lets me enjoy things so much more on a much deeper level.
Wednesday, 02-May-12 07:12:26 UTC from web-
@toksyuryel @hakupony Yeah. Ponies or otherwise it's nice to have a sensitive side for that reason.. enjoying life and such.
