I wish AGDQ had more talking involved so I could leave it on in the background while I work

@ceruleanspark No
-
@scoot Give your life to Mike Dawson
-
@ceruleanspark Only if it will explain everything
-
@scoot I like that the Wikipedia article for Dark Seed 2 puts every instance of "Girlfriend" in quotes when talking about Mike.
-
@ceruleanspark Haha wow, well Mike is pretty much the only person in that relationship
-
@scoot I would argue that Mike is the only person /not/ in that relationship
-
@ceruleanspark ...That's true. Is there anyone in town she didn't get with at some point?
-
@scoot (Besides Mike of course)
-
@scoot The homeless guy and possibly Jack, who might not even have been real.
-
@ceruleanspark Relatively sure Jack was dark world Mike and as such, wasn't really from "in town" and yeah I forgot about the homeless guy
-
@scoot I thought Jack was just a multiple personality of Mikes, which is why the Sherrif and the Deputy couldn't see him and thought Mike committed suicide.
-
@ceruleanspark Jack is /supposed/ to be Dark World Mike as far as I'm aware. As for why they couldn't see him? I have no idea, maybe he can just be invisible to people, but he's a very real entity.
-
@scoot OK so here's my argument against Jack being real: He's friends with Mike Dawson.
-
@ceruleanspark A compelling argument, counter argument: He isn't friends with him at all, he stabbed him to death. He was just pretending to be Mike's friend the whole time.
-
@scoot Why would he pretend to be Mikes friend though. The ancients plan didn't require Mike in the slightest.
-
@ceruleanspark Bad writing? Misdirection? Setting up the character specifically in a way that you'd never think Jack was the villain all along? Also it is specifically stated that Jack is Mike's dark world counterpart at least once. I don't think the "Pretend to be Mike's friend" thing was of any use other than to set up Jack as a character.
-
@ceruleanspark 2nd point didnt need stating, nobody requires Mike for anything at any time.

@scoot I spent most of my life on a submarine, but the government looks at one mistake and cuts me off from my dreams, by locking me up in this ocean floor prison. One of the submarine missiles I launched hit a passenger ship. It sunk. In disputed waters. Right before a war.
