@awlderpy Eh, it's one of *those* rules, you know? Like ending with a preposition.
-
@awlderpy English rules...I used to know those, then I forgot most of them and recently have started relearning because I'm writing fanfictions. XD
-
@scribus yet, however is a conjuction. As well as yet. I was going to say all european languages share this trait but no they dont. Plus ending a sentence in a preposition... Wouldn't that make it a postposition? Hahaha kind of a grammaticl joke
-
@awlderpy Your joke, though, seems to be a legitimately good question. :p
-
@clayinthecarpet i once had aspirations of being the Vladimir Nabokov of my time but my literary Russian is quite second-rate.
-
@oracle yeah, the Bringer of Light. (Hellmare too)
-
@awlderpy Vladmir Nabokov is my hero although my reasoning is most assuredly different than most.
-
@mylittlesistercantbethisincestual I admire the fact that he wrote profound and really good works in both English and Russian.
-
@awlderpy i admire his ability to do lolita tastefully. It takes a certian mastery of literature to approach such a topic and produce a work of both quality and tact. It was comparable to a 6ft hurdle that he jumped over, looked back, and waited to see who dare follow.
