So, if things go as planned I may be back on the east coast in less than a year.

@colfax was that the ultimate goal?
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:32:04 UTC from web-
@rarity No, that would be world domination.

@colfax "Domination under an iron shovel" sounds cool until you realize almost all shovels are made of iron
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:34:26 UTC from web -
@colfax well, that might be easier on the East Coast, unless you plan to take over via the media. Then L.A. would probably be your best bet for a starting point

@rarity I was thinking more like titanium with a depleted uranium edge.
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:38:36 UTC from web-
@colfax Uranium!

@colfax Depleted uranium is awful for non-projectile weapons though. You won't be able to put enough force into the shovel for the properties of the uranium to be of use, and if you wore power armor or a mech or something to be able to deal a strong enough blow the edge would ignite and do its work, but you'd be left with a handle and the remains of a head. A titanium alloy with a chrome steel edge would probably give you better results.

@nerthos You can use it in tank shells though... it is funny
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:45:50 UTC from web-
@metaltao Yeah, it is great for projectiles, but as I said, not for close combat weapons. Plus it's only useful against armor. Against flesh there's no difference between depleted uranium and steel. You're just left with a hole and an almost intact projectile some meters away.
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:48:20 UTC from web-
@nerthos XD And also if you miss, the residual radiation (IF there is any I forgot if there is any left in ...NVM) will mess with the soldier A BIT and ONLY A BIT!
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:50:08 UTC from web-
@metaltao The residual radiation will only cause harm in a really long term, there's not much left
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:50:51 UTC from web-
@nerthos AWWW That is good... total war ain't my thing...
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:51:22 UTC from web-
@metaltao Most countries that actually employ that kind of ammo are oil hounds anyway, so total war isn't practical for them.

@nerthos The shovel will be magnetically accelerated via a railgun
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:50:32 UTC from web-
@cinnamonswirl That makes more sense. Now let's do an analysis over the ballistic properties of shovels.
Monday, 09-Jun-14 20:51:54 UTC from web-
@nerthos They are great ballistic devices... Least that is what TF2 tells me :3

@nerthos That's nice, don't care.

@colfax Your world domination plans lack forethought. I expected more.

@metaltao One must start somewhere.
