@pianissima What the hell power supply costs $200
-
@cinnamonswirl a good one lmao. my cpu needs a min of 1000w but i went for a 1200w one in case i upgrade something. its a nice cpu lol
-
@pianissima hook that murdock up to the Hoover Dam holy crap
-
@thewaifutyphoon lol yeah but i need it to do digital scoring lol
-
@thewaifutyphoon its the gaming pc I was given when I was a pro gamer. now its my work cpu lol and boy does it work
-
@pianissima Uh...Even Intels top spec 61 core server processor only needs 300w
-
@cinnamonswirl but when you have Titan graphics cards and 6 hard drives.... not to mention the peripherals that are cpu-powered lol
-
@pianissima What's the wattage on your new PSU?
-
@jamster 1200w its more than i need. but you never want to have less than you need so :p
-
@pianissima Is it made by Corsair by any chance?
-
@jamster nope, why? I like raidmax power supplies
-
@pianissima Oh, because Corsairs AX1200i is a highly recommended PSU when you are willing spend that much on a PSU.
-
@jamster yeah i know which one you are talking about lol but i really like how raidmax designs theirs lol plus if im not mistaken, those run in the $300 range
-
@pianissima Oh? If you don't mind me asking what's your computer's specs?
-
@jamster sabertoothx78 mobo, i7 975x cpu, crossfired titans (well... one of them is half dead soooooo). 15TB of HD and 1TB of SSD. all cooled with water woo! its a nice cpu lol
-

@jamster I'm planning to watercool as well and replace that GTX 770 with a GTX 780.
-
@jamster nice lol. oh i forgot my ram lol its 32 GB of vengeance RAM yay for nice cpus lol
-
@jamster i hate seeing people buy 5400 Hds lol it makes me feel bad for them secretly lol
-
@jamster honestly. the diff between a 770 and 780 isnt enough to justify the price difference unless you get a discount
-
@pianissima BTW it'd probably best to make a NAS server for that 15 TB of HHD you have.
-
@pianissima Yeah but there is no water blocks available for the Gigabyte windforce GTX 770 (My GPU).
-
@jamster yeah lol they are pretty much all fans xDD
-
@jamster i would, but how i have my boots set up, i have a key that physically changes the computer for use in different settings. That way my work stuff is seperate from all my other stuff.
-
@pianissima Oh, that's kinda cool how you have that set up.
-
@jamster I have to. There is very sensitive data on it that needs to be inaccessible until i actually need it. so the key actually disconnects the HDs completely so they can't be accessed. it also disconnects my regular ones when i need the work stuff so nothing can be transferred between them. the only way to get a virus on it is directly or if its hidden on my CPU or GPU (or RAM) Gotta be safe y'know
-
@pianissima Oh wow.
-
@jamster lol yeah its pretty cool. had to make it myself, but it only took about a month total to design and make
