Tumblr needs to stop proliferating their own pseudocanon for things. I don't like seeing people apologise for their unpopular opinions or interpretations.

@thelastgherkin I could just say "What do you mean with pseudocanon and how does it hold up with less popular opinions or interpetations of, I guess, things" but instead I will try to go with the humorous aproach and say "I am sorry, what ?"

@critialcloudkicker Tumblr comes up with it's own canon for shows it likes and then assumes that the popular head-canon is the right one and any alternative ideas are often shunned.

@critialcloudkicker Example: Welcome to Night Vale. It's a radio show with literally no visual media. Yet there's this culture of "oh he has to have tattoos all down his arms and a third eye in his forehead" which came out of nowhere. I've seen people apologising for and/or abused because their ideas of what the characters look like don't match the popular version.
