As I've said before, I ashamedly admit that I've never sat down and actually played any sonic game for any decent length of time. LIKE COME ON I WANT A DAMN GENESIS.

@techdisk I've got 3 Mega Drives :^)
-
@techdisk specifically a genesis model 1, because it has better sound, I hear.
-
@scoot I feel deep remorse for the fact that you live in a PAL region. :(
-
@redenchilada Superior looking SNES region
-
@scoot How's it feel playing games at 84% of their intended speed
-
@scoot totally. I mean even the controller looks better because colored buttons are pretty.
-
@redenchilada they reclock games for PAL so they usually run at the correct speed, but there are some major exceptions.
-
@redenchilada I've never noticed any real difference.
-
@scoot Oh.
-
@redenchilada it only happens like that when you play an NTSC game on a PAL system.
-
@techdisk I dunno why they thought that Americans couldn't handle 4 colours and had to limit you to 2 colours on your controller.
-
@techdisk Or if you play RKA or Sonic 1 :V
-
@scoot and even then its really only purple and lighter purple. Hell, I've looked inside my NTSC controller and the button holes actually have indicator text for the other region colours.
-
@techdisk as in "Put the blue one in this hole, idiot"
-
@techdisk That's interesting, I guess thats because they use the same case as the jp/eu one so they didn't bother changing that.
-
@scoot Exhibit A. http://pny.lv/8o55
-
@techdisk Yeah that'll be the exact same outer case then. Doesn't make sense to make a whole new one with different colours printed inside
-
@scoot I guess so. I find it interesting that they also made X and Y concave instead of convex. *shrug* either way, The PAL/NTSC-J versions of the SNES/Super Famicom look much better than the American one.
-
@scoot Colors are like a rainbow, and rainbows are ghey.
