  1. PBS has been hacked by a splinter anonymous group. They are also threatening more ops against Sony.

    4. @administrator ug, this really doesn't sound like the anonymous I know and love, It sounds like some jerks trying to blame someone else and make them look like complete hate machines.

      1. @thecupcakinator You must know a totally different anonymous than I do. They don't have the nickname "internet hate machine" for no reason. They ARE jerks.

        1. @starshine I somehow manage to hold the dual-view of Anon. The Anon which cares enough about human rights to protest the violations they perceive in Scientology, and the Anon with enough disregard for humanity to tell Rebecca Black to an hero. =/ Admittedly, the majority seems to be on the Hate Machine side of things.

          1. @scribus Was it ever for "human rights"? I was under the impression that the whole Scientology thing was just "for the lulz" like everything else. In other words, to be tards.

            1. @starshine I suppose I can't vouch for motivations...

        2. @starshine I guess that's true but they normally are fairley lazy and have some bigger reasoning then what I've heard was the reasoning for the sony attacks

          1. @thecupcakinator I think at some point when I wasn't paying attention, the reasoning went from "we should do this because it is funny" to "we can do these things because there are lots of us". I suppose the Scientology stuff was sort of that transitional time.

            1. @starshine Yeah I was on during there recent dos attacks on a couple banks whitch had good reasoning and was more rescent, but then I wasn't on for a bit and bam the sony thing happend and I heard it was annonymous and I was all what the hay, and I asked around and one person gave me a stupid reason and I couldn't even believe it

      2. @thecupcakinator It was a WikiLeaks related attack after PBS showed a Documentary that was slantedly critical of WL. Personally, I think the weight behind some of these attacks for sony come from Skidsrus, a hacker group that hates both Anonymous and Large companies.
