@carcino No, I was at a shopping area, outdoor walkways around storefronts. 2nd floor. I'm walking along, coming up on a perpendicular section, and there's a guy walking towards the same corner as I am. He passes behind a column and never comes out from behind it. I get to it maybe 10 seconds later, and he's not there. No doors, nothing. Just - gone. Ghost, wizard, or mutant. Or maybe Starfleet. Spooky, nonetheless.

@ceruleanspark I've seen what my mother calls 'shadow people' pretty self explanatory. In our old house there was this guy who would always sit on my sister's bed, every night. I didn't believe her at first but looking back it was just... A bad room.

@scribus That sounds like an experience I had early in the morning one day near my apartment. I saw a guy duck under a large bush, I got to it not even five seconds later and he was gone without a trace. There is nothing behind that bush except for a solid wall.

@carcino Interesting. Through the years I've had repeated encounters with something /like/ a shadow person. The first time I saw him was about 15 or so years back, in my old house. I remember I was going to bed, and I got an unusual, forboding feeling. I looked around reflexively, and saw a figure standing in my brothers room. Not a shadow, but more...an absence. Like a black hole crudely shaped into a human figure. It was taller than a human should be, and its head was curiously elongated. I felt like he was looking at me. I closed my eyes, and he was gone.

@carcino About 5 years later, I saw him again, this time in a holiday house. I awoke in darkness and felt that strange feeling of forboding hanging over me again. I turned on the light, and he was there, standing beside the bed. Not /doing anything/ but just standing, observing. Looking "into" him made him seem like he had depth. He stood there looking at me for a while. I looked back into him, and suddenly he just sort of...turned sideways and vanished.
