@northernnarwhal I dunno, I'm thinking I might go with Fangirl first but really it's hard to decide cuz as soon as I pick up one book I'll wanna read the other one :<

@spots Yeah, I've been finishing up one of the books I got for Christmas and already really wanna start the next one. Luckily I'm the kinda person who usually tends to commit to one book at a time when reading, but it's tempting to start another one halfway through.

@northernnarwhal I do a lot of starting books in the middle of other books, it's my way of pacing myself so it doesn't just take a day to finish a book, I can take a few days then to finish them all!

@spots I usually try not to read more than one book at once because I find I tend to get invested in the author's written voice and adjust to the specific style of prose they use. I'll also only binge watch one show at a time but I'm generally okay keeping up with multiple shows episodically.

@northernnarwhal That's fair, I've just done stuff like that since I first started books it'd actually take me a while to read, so I got pretty used to it

@spots It's good if you can do that and keep track of various plot threads across books. I tend to take a lot of mental notes while engaging with art and media, especially while reading books, so if I go from book to book I lose track of lots of smaller stuff. That's how it's been for me since I was younger too, so I never really developed reading books simultaneously.
