            @ceruleanspark I have to admit surprise at how much ground has been gained in the Brexit form. Even with the current events giving it so much momentum and exiting the EU not being nonsensical (still biased against EU here), still surprising. We'll be having our Resource Wars soon enough, maybe even before 2052!

              @awl That's the best part: Britain doesn't do anything! The labor force we *do* have is foreign, the products we produce are either high end low volume luxury purchases, or massively undercut by china et al. We're even having electricity shipped in from France. The only reason America plays nice with us at all is because we're their proxy seat in the EU government. The only thing we've got going for us is our financial sector, and they've all made it pretty clear that they'd leave if we left europe.

                @ceruleanspark Didn't realise that about electricity. Slowly it seems Britain made itself unable to sustain itself, maybe shouldn't have been so 'united' if there was a chance the EU would fail in one way or another. It couldn't have been like that before the EU, if so it's like destiny for failure as a nation.
