@mrtiffamation Did it conclude or just stop?
-
@scribus It concluded. It was short-lived much like most anime and manga (I assume)
-
@mrtiffamation Well, at least that happened, then.
-
@mrtiffamation Manga are usually more continuous than most anime. Many anime (especially adaptations) are shorter so as to adhere to the way broadcasting works in Japan
eris likes this. -
@narwhal I realised after posting that I just meant anime but it worked alongside my willful ignorance
-
@mrtiffamation It's cool, it's an often and easily made mistake even by people who are into anime and manga
-
@narwhal lol what fools
-
@mrtiffamation Also it's not really set in stone how long anime or manga can go, it's more of just a weighted average. There are still plenty of short manga and long running anime. So there's definitely breathing room here.
-
@narwhal I knew that but you know
-
@mrtiffamation Yeah, lots of the really big names are notorious for being absurdly long
-
@narwhal It's unlike American TV seems, at least. Seventeen seasons of 2.5 So-Called Men? FML SMH ETC...
-
@scribus Dunno how familiar you are with the Japanese model, but if you're not the basic rundown is that the structure for their broadcast schedule is based on the seasons and works cyclically. So programming is divided into 3 month (around 13 week) "cours" throughout the year, which is why many regular tv anime will be around 13 or 26 episodes because they will air for one or two "seasons" in the broadcast schedule.
