   I am genuinely confused by my parents behaviour. They blatantly do not have any interest in my well being, but they insist on errecting this paper thin facade that they do. Why go to the effort of doing that? I accept that they are in no way obligated to care. I am an adult after all. Their duty of care is discharged at this point. I'm just puzzled and frustrated by their behaviour.

      @ceruleanspark sorry, I will have to leave this room soon. aybe I could try to understand their POV, but you'd have to go into more detail about that "per thin facade".

         @hakupony The facade is simply that they behave as though they care, right up until you require them to actually take any action whatsoever. Then you're on your own. It's a repreated mindmangoes and I fall for it every time.
