@tiffany Did you remove skin?
-
@tiffany Grow a hitler mustache. Fascism is so fashionable right now.
-
@ceruleanspark Well, I can't go wrong with something named after fashion
RDN's Lucifer likes this. -
@nerthos I don't remember much about MLP but I do remember Rarity's callous remarks about the Greeks
-
@ceruleanspark Genuine question, do you actually believe that? I know you're REALLY left in the political spectrum, but you're not blind and irrational.
-
@tiffany You have betrayed us all and I henceforth shall no longer call you my pony bro. /)-x-(\

@nerthos Irrespective of anything Donald Trump or the Vote Leave whackjob party have actually said or done, many people who *support* said leaders/causes seem to be big fans. Notice how quickly their most vocal supporters take to suggesting jailing/killing dissenters?

@ceruleanspark How many of those are there though? I don't think there's many more of them than the other side has violent extremists, specially considering the riots and beatings the losing party has perpetrated. And there's also the fact that, while you being on the side that had been getting social victories lately, many people on the opposite side had been feeling genuinely silenced and discriminated against. As far as I've seen there's no real risk of anything nor any real fascism past internet nutjobs, and Trump seems intent on closing the ideological gap. I speak having lived an election that was identical to this one over here, and over the last year seen how none of the pre-election fearmongering came to pass, violence and fascism being carried out solely by the most fanatic and politically invested followers of the losing party. Plus as Hakui said yesterday, the average Trump voter didn't think "I want to disenfranchise minorities" when they voted, but rather (cont)

@ceruleanspark "I want a decent job to feed my family". You saw how colfax spent years without being able to land a decent job, and that wasn't a rare thing. And let's be honest, the most vocal Clinton supporters have been talking about "fixing" the issue by assassinating trump, and even at least one woman who voted for her was beaten for not wanting to take part in the protests/riots against Trump. I don't dismiss your concerns as irrational, but I do think it's not nearly as bad as many are making it seem. A whole lot of the most fascist sounding Trump supporters are just papayaposting right now to celebrate that they feel they have a voice again and no one with power will call them a bigot for it, much like the gay community did flamboyant rallies when they stopped being actively persecuted.
