We played a D&D Christmas episode yesterday. Our all-new, one-shot characters were hired to protect Santa Claus's mostly empty North Pole complex, but then some of the base's huskies got attacked by Yetis and everything went a bit "The Thing". Later, back at the base, we got attacked by a hideous monster made out of about 20 conglomerated reindeers. When our characters rested overnight, two of us (myself included) got notes from the DM that we had now been replaced by evil alien doppelgangers and our task was to kill the rest of the group. It was so much fun.

@thelastgherkin I'm never felt so much envy in years. That sounds super cool.

@adiwan It was great. When my alien ally revealed himself, the group flipped. He killed one, everyone else was split up. Then I managed to get the squishy monk alone and one-hit-killed him with Assassination and Sneak Attack. He lost his banana. It was amazing.
