Well, I am not going to put it under a subdoamin for that reason. I don't need the FBI SWAT destroying my house because a troll uploaded something illegal to that site, then called the FBI.

@administrator Do you need them to do it for other reasons? (Sorry, had to let it out)
-
@administrator this is a list if blocked file formats: exe, php, sh, bat, cgi, pl, pdf, zip, mp3, mov; what is illegal that doesn't fall under one of these file types?
-
@1greg1 CP, bro, under jpg, jpeg, gif, png, etc.
-
@zarkanorf what?
-
@1greg1 anything in a rar, 7z, etc etc, or alternate video format for sure.
-
@abigpony Not to mention how you can convert .mov data into a .png and all sorts of stuff.
-
@1greg1 CP is short for "child pornography", which is the biggest no-no.
-
@abigpony You know what I mean, you file format restriction.
-
@haganbmj added those to filetype blacklist
-
@zarkanorf do remember I have full control of what is uploaded
-
@1greg1 People will always find a way to upload illegal content; it's probably just safe to not do it at all.
-
@abigpony <B
-
@zarkanorf legal disclaimers always help :P just throw one at the bottom that says that the site isn't responsible for any illegal content, and that if such content is found, I can provide the ip address of the offending user
-
@1greg1 Ideally you just have an accepted format list, 'cause anyone can name something .* and bypass that assuming you're not searching the file itself for internal data. Even still though, as others have noted, images in general are hard to moderate.
-
@haganbmji can do that...
-
@1greg1 Probably easier to manage that way. And just allow the standard image formats, plus whatever else you might want to be available.
-
@haganbmj i have jpg, jpeg, png, gif, doc, and docx allowed only
-
@1greg1 Yeah that seems pretty solid. Might even be able to accept .txt as a recommendation.
-
@haganbmj yeah, that sounds good
