@thelastgherkin the version i heard is that when you're close to the speed of light, your time will go slower to preserve the law that says it is impossible to go faster than light

@mushi From your point of view, 'your' time will go the same speed, and everyone else's time will go faster. So what might be 20 minutes for you will be much longer for everyone else.

@thelastgherkin But if they us in the future, they would know how much attention/panic/exitememt/fear they would cause, and therefore stay secret.

@derpyshy That's not stopping unscrupulous persons stealing the designs to come back and 'invent' the time machine. But that's probably why, if time travel will be invented, the government will restrict or ban its use. Or maybe it only goes forwards. Or maybe it only goes back to as far as when the time machine was invented.
