      @dariusponyperson If I remember correctly, that was part of a Victorian taxidermy museum in which the proprietor faked animals in order to attract customers. I remember there being woollen pigs, and some kind of vampire bear... I have a number of newspaper clippings on it somewhere. It's very fascinating.

          @dariusponyperson Reminds me also of the Victorian era fake mermaids, which were usually monkey and cat bones glued to the back end of a fish.
