     @purple Because the word "normal" implies that transgender people are abnormal, which isn't fair, correct or particularly pleasant. It is the neutral, "politically correct" term.

     @ceruleanspark politically correct, seems like it's a lot of work... I will just stick with omitting a desinator when referring to a non transgendered person, and just adding the term transgendered when needed.
