Hey... I'm Fluttershy. I saw this site and made an account. I hope you don't mind...

@widget 'Cus you broke it, obviously.

@widget I don't care. You have access to the files, so now we're all blaming YOU when things go wrong. :) Having fun being in charge yet?

@widget Have logic or reason EVER stood in the way of the MLP:FiM fandom before?
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:28:30 UTC from web -
@widget So what's gonna happen once it's moved? Still working on realtime, or are you planning to put that on once it moves?

@widget K. The reason I ask is because we've been throwing a theme together on Lil' Sweetie and we were considering yelling at you to put it on the site along with the new stuff. Maybe.

@redenchilada I do like the Li'l Sweetie theme, I must say.

@widget It has a few issues with customization at the moment, which is why I haven't shouted at you about putting it on yet. Fixing it would probably require editing classes/Design.php and js/userdesign.go.js, though. (I poked at it and tried something that might do what I want, but I won't claim to have any knowledge of how either language _really_ works, so it probably just explodes. :()

@widget Understandable. By the way, the theme kind of doesn't align the buttons with RDN Refresh on right now, so it might take some tweaking on your side assuming RDN+ uses the same thing.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:38:40 UTC from web-
@redenchilada Oh! I likiy the RDN layout your working on.

@nlghtmaremoon Bit's been doing as much as I have, hon~ and we're just tweaking Shiny anyway.

@widget Bluh bluh, I've been wanting to replace Meteord+Realtime with a NodeJS server reading from the DB or something.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:39:42 UTC from web -
@widget So does my script, but it's not lined up for SOME reason even though the code is exactly the same. :confused:
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:40:57 UTC from web -
@widget Should be fine, then. I can give you the theme .zip if you want to put it on and test, though.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:41:30 UTC from web -
@widget Possibly, maybe. It would be better than Comet though. Long polling = ew.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:43:40 UTC from web -
@widget Yes, it does. At least, that's how I thought it worked. It opened a http connection which slowly received script updates rather than all at once (aka long pilling).
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:46:04 UTC from web -
@widget Web sockets, flash sockets, then falling back to long polling if neither of those are available. (Basically socket.io in a nutshell)
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:48:53 UTC from web-
@minti @widget Teach me more about web sockets and realtime polling. I'm endlessly curious. [c=#A47BB4]*sits down and begins to listen*[/c]

@widget Damn youuuuu. :p
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:50:00 UTC from web -
@widget Yeah most servers have to implement like 3 different drafts of the protocol to support everything.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:54:02 UTC from web-
@minti Thankfully the nodejs package for websockets seems to work perfectly in all supported browsers. :D It's been my plaything for like, the past two weeks.

@widget I miss XHTML 2
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:56:57 UTC from web -
@widget Fascinating.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 03:56:59 UTC from web -
@widget Actually no. XHTML5 is just the XML serialization of HTML5. XHTML2 was something else entirely.

@widget There's a bunch of stuff about actual HTML in the HTML 5 draft too, it's just a lot of the cool things involve scripting. One of the things I'm exited about most would be the new input types. My two favorite being "range" and "number". ... Both of which don't seem to work in Firefox. :( #scriptkiddy

@minti Excited* .. Spell check doesn't help when the typo'd word turns into another word.
Saturday, 01-Sep-12 04:04:38 UTC from web -
@minti Third thing I like being the "placeholder" attribute.
