  1. Okay, I am trying to portforward my router, but none in our house knows the password... Is there any way I can get it?

    1. @derpyshy Google the model.

      1. @nerthos Netgear. I know the standard IP, (192.168.1.1.) but when I enter it, a window pops up telling me to enter a User Name and a Password. I know that this is originally "Admin" and "Password" (double-cheked underneath the router aswell) x.x

        1. @derpyshy Ooh, so someone changed the defaults? Well, then, hit the hard-reset button.

          1. @scribus What does that do? :o (other than resetting the password)

            1. @derpyshy Well, if it's wireless, it will also require you to re-set-up the wireless network & password, though that usually takes about five minutes tops.

                1. @derpyshy It's probably around the back, recessed, about the size of a ballpoint pen tip.

        2. @derpyshy Try them without the capital letters? (Also, depending on the firmware version, some are actually set to "admin"/"admin" instead of "admin"/"password".)

          1. @bitshift I just like to put capital letters on RDN :P Let me try that, though...

          2. @bitshift Mine was actually user/admin. xD

        3. @derpyshy They're usually admin/1234 admin/password and admin/admin

          1. @derpyshy Well, if you're just going to try brute-forcing it, you may want to be a bit more systematic about it.

            1. @scribus Lolno, my dad's brain has the most weirdest passwords...

                1. @scribus He has never used the password for the router itself Dx

                  1. @derpyshy You could use a program to brute force it, although some routers are protected against that.

                      1. @derpyshy Better safe to find out, cause if it is you'll just lock yourself out of the router period. XD
