@thelastgherkin Forgot about that. It's coming up soon. I think it is good since they are spending months in development and that has to pay off in some way. It was also a college assignment.

@thelastgherkin So far it's unoriginal crap and all the animation reels they've released have been puppets. I'd rather watch a full episode by HDD then a show-accurate one because crappy fanboyism.

@abigpony Doesn't look like it's going to be puppets. Now they could be using puppets as way to present how the story is going to go through.

@doates Every reel was made from puppets and as far as I know, that's what we're going off of.

@abigpony I just went to the site. I hardly doubt that that they are going release this thing as crap. I mean its a project that they need to do in order to graduate. Granted they are using puppets for the animation, but how else are they going to do it?

@doates Original art like decent animators? I'm not saying it's gonna be crap in terms of animation. The puppets are pretty much preset packs that are just parts that you drag and drop. It's like using Game Maker as opposed to actually programming a game.

@abigpony But they also made the puppets. And what were you expecting them to do, cel animate every frame? Not even the show does that.

@thelastgherkin No, but the show has an art department that makes these things, original designs and ideas, publishing companies, etc. to make it a whole production. We have a guy who vectors pony parts and some guys who can't into originality.
