@thatonestocking No matter what tier you're aiming for, building the computer yourself you'll be paying 2/3 of the market price or less.

I have an equal level of detest for all OEM's... Both Apple, and PC ones. So i build everything :3
Micheal Schlongcoptor and Toksyuryel like this. -
@thatonestocking Yay! I love building systems, Hackintoshes and PC's alike. I really hate when people say they can't build one. How does one fail to do something that can be likened to building with lego? o3o. Anyone could build if they wanted to ^_^

@cavatina Writing DNA is like building with LEGO! IT'S SO SIMPLE, HOW CAN PEOPLE WHO AREN'T BIOLOGISTS NOT DO IT
-
@thatonestocking Yeah...
-
@cavatina Because the last time I tried to plug something into a computer, said computer started randomly shutting off by itself.
-
@thelastgherkin I actually do seriously see building a PC as simple as building with lego o.o. Apart from the simple research you need to do into what parts you need, the only hard part of construction is fitting the motherboard into the backplate. That even might just be me, but theres nothing really hard!. It's fun too ^-^

@thatonestocking What the hell does that have to do with DNA
-
@thatonestocking I literally tried installing a DVD drive on an old computer and failed miserably. I'm not saying building a PC is terribly hard, but saying anyone can do it is a lie and you know it.
-
@thatonestocking A lot of people also don't believe you could build a "Hack Mini" HTPC for less than the cost of the Mac Mini itself. That'd be why the one in my grandad's house only cost him £300. The cost of a PC only rises as the requirements of the system rise. If you need a high end system, you pay a high end price. If you need a high end system, but not so much a graphics system, you save money from that. People just seem to think all PC's are expensive, and that they somehow get a bargain when they get a Celeron laptop for £500 >.>

@thelastgherkin About as much as your post about DNA had to do with the post about building computers.
