I accidentally read an awfully bland LGBT comic and wasted money on that. I based my purchase on a very quick read over the description and cover. I missed the important keywords "romance" and "genderqueer".

@scribus Well... I'm not that interested in reading romance stories. And to be completely honest: It was super bland despite of the romantic contents. It was a happy-go-lucky thing with a sudden villain out of nowhere and their shortly developed love SOLVES EVERYTHING. I don't mind other gender identities and their romances but that's not my groove in entertainment. The two mentioned keywords had me warned beforehand not to grab that because the likelihood of encountering such a story would have been very high (and is now at a 100% certainty in this case).

@adiwan :p I get what you mean. A lot of romance/erotica/relationship-focused media really does fall into the same tropes and beats, regardless of "flavor."

@drinkingpony in this case I bought it from www.archonia.com They sell a lot of different things, from manga to US comics to board games (English, Dutch, German)

@adiwan I am aware of that site. They usually put such stuff in the synopsis or details of the product tho. Was it an addon so you would not have to pay shipping or something ?

I browse through what's new in the "Previews Preorders". Usually I buy my regulars but sometimes I click through other items.
Usually I read the synopsis/description but that time I blanked.

I think I know what you mean, but then why doesn't google have a fitting definition for 'Blanked' ?
