#season3prediction Luna is the 7th element of harmony - the element of compassion and has to return to the moon after she uses it.

@hakupony Actually, both Shining Armor and Cadence are APPARENTLY the 7th element of Harmony: Love. :/

@minti Friendship isn't an element of harmony. They'd be in a separate tree.

@abigpony It's still listed as one of the "Elements" on the cards released by Enterplay though. :/
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 09:44:10 UTC from web-
@minti Everybody knows the cards aren't canon.
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 09:44:47 UTC from web-
@abigpony Except of course, for when people want them to be.
-
@ceruleanspark I refuse to acknowledge Golden Harvest as a canon name.

@abigpony I dunno, they're not exactly fanon either though. So where does that wind up?
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 09:46:17 UTC from web-
@minti just products. It's like saying the toys are canon when Fluttershy rides a scooter and RD has a pet squirrel.
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 09:53:12 UTC from web-
@abigpony hmm that's a good point.. but then again, it's not like the toys are explicitly contradicting the show in those cases. Products do obviously contradict the show in other ways though like Pinklestia, etc.

@minti In the same sort of place that the Star Wars books occupy in that continuity.
-
@minti DHX are on record as saying that it's only canon once it's aired in an episode. So nothing the cards say should be taken as certain.

@toksyuryel wait, really? Hell yeah.

@toksyuryel oh yeah? that's good to hear actually.. resolves a lot of possible issues.

@thelastgherkin As far as i'm concerned now products hold little more weight than fanon. Yay for a singular universe
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 10:07:32 UTC from web-
@pony If it's officially published by Hasbro then it IS canon somewhere in the MLPtiverse.
Thursday, 27-Sep-12 10:09:43 UTC from web-
@thelastgherkin I agree, and I'd add that commonly accepted fanon like Doctor Whooves being a time lord is basically as valid as some of the contradictory albeit less copyright-infringing things from products like Pinklestia or umm... Pinklestia. XD (that's all I got really)

@toksyuryel Everything should have a Charles Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden style "Warning: Everything you are about to see is canon" message.
