    My mother's smartphone died today and we had to panic-buy a new one. She has also witnessed the horror of not having backups. All her stored phone numbers are gone.

        @scribus I had an external HDD with all my school photos and 3D renders I did and had no other backup. Data loss hurts and yet making backups is always postponed and nothing is learned from it. I *want* to make a ZFS home server with a ZFS pool but laziness always wins.
